Our client is an Australian-based company offering innovative smart locker and workplace management solutions designed to optimize hybrid work environments. Through its integrated platform and modular locker systems, they enable businesses to manage storage, parcel delivery, and resource sharing efficiently and securely. The company serves a broad client base including corporate offices, universities, and co-working spaces, helping organizations create flexible, employee-centric workplaces. The client combine hardware, software, and user experience design to deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and workplace engagement. All proprietary technology, customer information, and operational data exchanged shall remain confidential and protected under this agreement.

  • Build a social network to help Norwegians connect: Norwegians often find it difficult to connect with their neighbors due to their independent lifestyle
  • Set up an easy-to-use alert system for all age groups: The alert system should be accessible to everyone, with one simple action in emergencies (e.g., health, safety, or property threats)
  • Integrate local business listings and sales features: Users need to easily discover nearby businesses and sales opportunities (e.g., restaurants, gas stations, events)

  • Research and community insights: We conducted research on neighborhood behaviors in Norway by exploring social media groups to understand local needs and common issues. This helped us identify key pain points and gaps in how people interact within their communities. 
  • Quick Access Button (QAB): We designed an intuitive Quick Access Button (QAB) placed in a prominent position, enabling users to send alerts with just one tap, whether notifying family members or neighbors. This ensures fast responses in emergencies.
  • “Explore” Menu & Local Integration: The “Explore” menu allows users to find local businesses, events, and a community marketplace for buying or selling items. This feature was designed to help users discover essential services and foster local commerce.
  • Seamless system integration: We integrated Norway’s mapping system and digital identification for simple login and accurate location tracking, ensuring a smooth user experience while connecting people to local resources.

ONBOARDING & AUTHENTICATION

The app onboarding starts with introductory screens, followed by secure login via VIPPS, Norway’s national ID system. Based on the user’s location, the app then suggests relevant neighborhood groups, or “Hoods.”

FEED

The feed allows users to view posts from people in their area, create new posts (with optional location sharing), and filter the content by post type or time. Users can tag posts with specific labels like "Need Help," "Event," "Love Pets," etc., and interact by reacting, sharing, or chatting.

HOOD (NEIGHBORHOOD GROUP)

This feature enables users to manage and participate in neighborhood-based groups. Users can create, join, and manage groups, view neighborhood-specific posts, share marketplace items, and interact with other members.

EXPLORE

Users can explore nearby businesses, events, and people with a map-based feature that incorporates location privacy settings, allowing users to discover relevant content based on their geographic location.

MARKET

A marketplace feature where users can buy, sell, or exchange goods and services within their community. Filters are available to make the search more specific, helping users find what they need.

MESSAGING

A private messaging system allows users to communicate with trusted contacts or group members. Options for text, emojis, and calls are available, enhancing interaction within the app.

ACCOUNT & PROFILE

Users have personalized profiles that showcase their posts, family or pet displays, and trusted contacts. This feature helps maintain a secure and social experience within the app.

ALERT SYSTEM

An alert system provides users with real-time notifications about urgent events in their neighborhood, such as emergencies or important updates, making it easier to stay informed and respond quickly.

NOTIFICATION

Real-time alerts keep users updated on important activities, such as new posts, interactions, and group activities, ensuring they never miss key information.
