The Challenges

  • Fragmented Data Across Departments: The client struggled with fragmented data spread across multiple departments, severely impacting communication and causing critical delays in decision-making.

  • Simultaneous Maintenance of Legacy and New Systems: Managing both the legacy and new systems simultaneously was a complex task, as any disruption could compromise transaction integrity and customer trust.

  • Overwhelming Workload: With an overwhelming workload, the client urgently needed specialized fintech experts to bridge the resource gap and ensure the successful completion of the project.

  • Business Optimization: We streamlined the reporting process, consolidating over 70 reports into a more efficient set of 15, maintaining the integrity of the data while improving efficiency. For example, we merged similar reports, ensuring key insights were preserved and business objectives met. 
  • Technical Optimization: Our talent developed 8 new data pipelines to process and validate data from multiple sources. Using technologies like Python, Airflow, and AWS tools (MSK, Athena), we ensured accurate data processing, reducing errors and improving data flow. 
  • System Architecture Upgrade: As core developers, SmartDev worked alongside the client to redesign the system architecture. We deployed new features, optimized performance, and resolved any bugs, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
