On 27th May, SmartDev had the pleasure of welcoming students from Sewanee: The University of the South in Tennessee, USA, led by Mr. Myles F. Elledge, for an engaging visit focused on technology, AI innovation, and the future of digital transformation.
The session offered students an opportunity to learn more about SmartDev’s journey as a global software development company and how we support businesses worldwide through AI-powered solutions, digital engineering services, and scalable technology delivery.
The visit was hosted by SmartDev representatives Tien Tran Cong, Sales Development Representative, and Huyen Nguyen Thanh, Growth Marketing Executive, who shared insights into SmartDev’s global capabilities, AI adoption, and NORA’s role in enabling intelligent workflow automation.
Exploring SmartDev’s Global Technology Capabilities
During the visit, the SmartDev team shared insights into our global software development capabilities and our experience working with businesses across different industries. The discussion highlighted how SmartDev helps organizations build, modernize, and scale digital solutions by combining strong engineering expertise with a client-centric delivery approach.
Students also explored how AI is reshaping the future of work, especially as many entry-level tasks become increasingly automated. For those preparing to enter the labour market, the visit offered a timely perspective on how jobs are being redefined by AI, how future professionals may work alongside AI as a co-worker, and how international technology companies like SmartDev operate, collaborate, and deliver innovation across global markets.

Exploring How SmartDev Delivers AI-Powered Technology Services
A key part of the session focused on AI adoption in business, including how companies can embed AI into real workflows to improve operations, enhance productivity, and create measurable value. Students were also introduced to NORA, SmartDev’s AI Workflow Automation Engine, which helps businesses reduce manual work, automate fragmented processes, and support scalable growth across areas such as operations, document processing, customer service, and compliance.
The session also introduced SmartDev’s role as an ODC AI-Native PartneR, helping businesses ship engineering outcomes through AI-powered senior teams. Students learned how SmartDev supports clients through both fixed-cost projects and dedicated development teams, giving businesses the flexibility to scale technology delivery based on their goals, timelines, and operational needs.

An Engaging Exchange with Future Innovators
The visit was made especially meaningful by the students’ curiosity, energy, and thoughtful questions. Their interest in AI adoption, workflow automation, and the future of technology created a highly engaging exchange of ideas with the SmartDev team.
We are grateful to the Sewanee team and Mr. Myles F. Elledge for including SmartDev in this learning journey. It was an honor to share our experience and contribute to the students’ exploration of technology, innovation, and future career opportunities.
