SmartDev is delighted to share an important milestone: being awarded the Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding IT Enterprise by the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang. This prestigious recognition underscores our dedication to innovation, quality, and impactful contributions to the IT sector in Vietnam.

The Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding IT Enterprise is awarded to organizations that demonstrate exemplary performance, innovation, and leadership in the IT sector. It acknowledges achievements that contribute significantly to technological advancement and economic growth in the region.
The Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang plays a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of Da Nang City. By fostering innovation, supporting IT enterprises, and implementing smart city initiatives, the department aims to position Da Nang as a leading hub for information and communications technology in Vietnam.
2. The Prestigious Award Ceremony
The award ceremony was part of the 2024 Year-End Review Conference for the Information and Communications Sector of Da Nang, held on January 7, 2025 (Tuesday). The event took place at the 3rd Floor Auditorium, Da Nang Software Park, No. 02 Quang Trung, Da Nang City.
This year’s conference celebrated a range of achievements in the Information and Communications sector, reflecting the industry’s remarkable growth and contribution to Da Nang’s economy and society in 2024. The sector reported total revenues of 39,888 billion VND, marking a 9.07% increase compared to 2023. Notably, software export revenue reached 165 million USD, up by 11.6%, while the digital economy contributed 20.69% to the city’s GRDP, surpassing its targets two years ahead of schedule. Da Nang also maintained its leading position in the readiness index for IT application and development among centrally governed cities for the 14th consecutive year.

During the ceremony, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, commended the sector’s achievements and emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration for future growth. He highlighted the upcoming transformation of the department into the Department of Science, Technology, and Communications, signaling a stronger emphasis on digital transformation and technological innovation in line with Resolution No. 57 of the Political Bureau.
In addition to representatives from various government departments, the event was attended by numerous IT companies based in the city, reflecting the collective effort and collaboration within the sector. The conference provided a valuable platform to showcase the remarkable achievements of the past year while celebrating the exceptional contributions of organizations and individuals in the field of information and communications technology.
3. A Closer Look at the Event Agenda
The conference followed a thoughtfully curated agenda that spotlighted key milestones and future directives for the IT sector:
The event began with a warm welcome and distribution of materials from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by opening remarks and an introduction of participants at 3:00 PM. A video presentation summarizing the achievements of the Da Nang IT sector in 2024 was showcased between 3:05 PM and 3:25 PM.

From 3:25 PM to 4:30 PM, attendees participated in engaging presentations and discussions led by various organizations and enterprises. The awards ceremony, held from 4:30 PM to 4:45 PM, honored exceptional contributions, during which Mr. Hieu Trần represented SmartDev to accept the prestigious award.
The conference concluded with directives from city leadership between 4:45 PM and 5:15 PM, followed by an informal networking session at 5:30 PM, allowing participants to connect and share insights.
4. SmartDev’s Presence at the Event & Recognition of Excellence
SmartDev was proudly represented by two distinguished members of our team. Mr. Huynh Duy Chuong, Product Director at VeryPay, and Mr. Hieu Tran, Head of Engineering at SmartDev, attended the conference. Their presence reflected SmartDev’s commitment to fostering relationships within the community and showcasing our contributions to the IT sector. Both representatives actively engaged with peers and leaders, further strengthening SmartDev’s network in the industry.
